1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of JustSMTP, an SMTP relay for transactional email built on top of Amazon Simple Email Service ("SES"), operated by JustSMTP Inc. ("JustSMTP", "we", "us"). By creating an account or sending mail through our service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using JustSMTP on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that organization.
2. The service
JustSMTP accepts outbound email over SMTP from your application and relays it through Amazon SES for delivery. We handle domain verification (DKIM/SPF), credential management, delivery monitoring, and activity logging. We do not provide inbound email, mailbox hosting, or general SMTP relaying for unsolicited or bulk marketing mail outside the scope described in our Acceptable Use Policy.
3. Accounts and credentials
You're responsible for the security of your account and any SMTP credential pairs you generate. Credential passwords are shown once at creation and are not recoverable — if one is lost, revoke it and generate a new pair. You're responsible for all activity sent using your credentials, whether or not you authorized it, until you revoke them.
4. Sending domains
You may only send mail from domains you own or are authorized to send on behalf of, and only after completing our domain verification process. We reserve the right to suspend a domain or credential pair without notice if we detect abuse, a compromised credential, or sending behavior that threatens the deliverability or reputation of our shared or dedicated sending infrastructure.
5. Plans, billing, and limits
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance as described on our pricing page. Sending volume is metered against your plan's monthly limit; a short soft-buffer applies before enforcement, after which further sends are rejected until you upgrade or your billing period resets. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated at checkout for annual plans.
6. Data and logging
We retain account information, verified sending domains, SMTP credential metadata, and message activity logs (recipient, subject line, timestamps, and the SMTP response for each send attempt) for the retention period attached to your plan. We do not store the bodies or attachments of messages you relay through us beyond the moment of delivery to SES. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on what we collect and why.
7. Availability
We target high availability for the relay but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, upstream SES incidents, or abuse mitigation may cause temporary disruption. We are not liable for delivery failures caused by recipient mail servers, spam filtering, or Amazon SES outages outside our control.
8. Termination
You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; access continues through the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, with notice where practical, and immediately where necessary to protect the service or its recipients.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JustSMTP's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
